Weather forecast: Sun set to shine on Scarborough for a while longer

The sun has done its job and burned the fret away so we can all enjoy some sunshine in Scarborough.

A combination of cloud and sunshine is predicted from now - Wednesday June 2 - to at least Tuesday June 9.

The consistent sunshine and higher temperatures should burn the fret away so the coast can enjoy some blue skies.

Temperatures are forecast to reach a maximum of 15°C in the late afternoon.

There is a chance of rain in the early morning clearing to cloud throughout the morning.

Sunny intervals appear from 2pm onwards and winds speeds stay low all day.

Pollen count is medium.

Friday June 4

Friday starts out cloudy but skies should clear to let the sun through by late morning.

The maximum temperature is forecast to be 17°C.

The evening from 4pm should be sunny and dry.

Pollen count is medium.

Saturday June 5

According to the current forecast Saturday is set to be the best day of the week with a maximum temperature of 17°C and clear skies with bright sunshine all day.

There will be light winds and very little chance of any rain.

Again the pollen count is medium.

Sunday June 6

The week rounds off with another warm one, temperatures are predicted to hit 18°C.

However conditions will be cloudier with sunny intervals and higher winds.

The pollen count stays at medium.

Monday June 7

Next week begins with the sunshine and a maximum temperature of 17°C.

However, the clouds return overnight with skies becoming overcast.

Wind speeds also start to pick up.

Tuesday June 8

Similarly to Monday, Tuesday begins with sunny intervals changing to part cloud overnight.

The maximum temperature is forecast to be 18°C.

Wind speeds are higher than this week though so it may feel cooler.
