Bridlington Rovers Millau’s late double earns 4-2 win against title rivals North Cave
Bridlington Rovers Millau kept in touch with Right Car East Riding County Football League Premiership leaders Bridlington Town Reserves after their 4-2 win at home to title rivals North Cave – lifting Millau above the visitors and into second spot.
A fairly slow start saw Millau go a goal behind before a bullet header from skipper Austen Wiles brought the scores level.

Millau gathered themselves and settled down and with a bursting run down the wing from vice captain George Jewitt-Knott his cross was met by Ashley Robinson at the back post and the latter nodded home.
It was 2-1 at half-time but the home side still had it all to play for.

Ten minutes into the second half the visitors found themselves level with the North Cave winger finding space from a cross to head home.
Changes were made as time was running out. Millau won a corner in the last 10 minutes. Man of the match Josh Pilmoor’s corner was met by sub Thomas Broadbent, who rose highest with another header.
Millau smelt blood and from North Cave’s re-start Millau regained possession and with a smart ball lofted over the away side’s defence, substitute James Faulkner was on hand to take the ball down under pressure, cut inside and find the top corner of the net.
A Millau spokesperson said: "A hard-fought win against a very good North Cave side. We left nothing on the field and it's a guarantee the boys will be aching in the morning. From the starting 11 to the substitutes every man did their job."
