Ayton teenager Grace Roberts cleared to play in WEABL
Ayton teenager Grace Roberts has reached a major milestone by being cleared to play in the WEABL (Women’s Elite Academy Basketball League).
This is the premier development league in the UK, bridging the gap to senior professional basketball.

Proud dad Steve said: “Competing against players up to five years older than her is an immense challenge, and her school has fully backed her potential, authorizing the necessary day-release so she can travel and compete in midweek fixtures nationwide.
“It’s another huge step towards her dream of becoming a professional basketball player.
“Grace is just 14 years old, but her dedication and talent have already taken her to the international stage, earning the honour of representing both England and Great Britain.
“Domestically, she balances a highly demanding schedule playing for both the U16 and U18 National League teams at the Sheffield Hatters Junior Basketball Club.
“Again we would like to thank Neil and Tony at Neat Flooring limited for all their support, the costs keep rising each year and without them Grace would not have reached these levels."
