Whitby Lions to bring a splash of colour to West Cliff Beach

The fun run is open to adults and children and is designed to be enjoyed at your own pace. Participants can run, jog or walk the course, with the emphasis firmly on having fun rather than racing.

Registration opens at 9am, followed by a warm-up at 10:30am, with the Colour Run taking place immediately afterwards.

Tickets are priced £15 for adults and over 12s, £10 for children under 12, or £30 for a family ticket covering two adults and two children.

Each participant will receive an event T-shirt, sunglasses and a packet of paint, so everyone can expect to finish the course looking considerably more colourful than when they started!

Whitby Lions President, Richard Jackson, said: “The colour run is one of our favourite events of the year and raises money for good causes and community projects.

“In 2026, these projects have included contributions towards a defibrillator in Glaisdale, supporting gardening clubs at local primary schools and providing mobility scooters and wheelchairs for those in need.

“We couldn’t do this without the support of the people of Whitby, so come along, join in and help to raise money for local people.

“Walk, jog or run – it’s not a race, it’s about having fun!”
