I'm a general reporter for the Yorkshire Post, with several specialisms and areas of interest including heritage, crime and courts, breaking news, inquests and human interest.
I've been a journalist since 2012 and have worked for the Yorkshire Post and its sister titles since 2015. I grew up in Doncaster, studied at the University of York and now live in Leeds. Before joining the Yorkshire Post, I worked on newspapers in Nottinghamshire and Lincolnshire.
It's my job to know as much as I can about Yorkshire and I love the region - it's incredibly varied and such a newsy area. I'm passionate about online and digital journalism, mainly because it enables us to track exactly what our readers are interested in.
Journalism has changed so much as an industry, but I find our readers still have the same interest in what's happening in their local area as they've always had; they just want the news delivered to them in more convenient ways, and that's a challenge we embrace at the Yorkshire Post.
